Packing time already?!

I Love CampIs it time to pack for camp already?!  Yes, it is, woo hoo!  Actually summer camp is two days away, but why wait until the last minute, lol.  Everything is all set to go except for a few little things like my travel kit, my Bible, and some more clothes.  I am so looking forward to this, it's going to be a great week!

Scrapbooking I had my 4-H scrapping class on Tuesday, it was fun.  Of course I brought my cat pictures with me, lol, all kinds of pictures of Max and Oscar, and pictures of me holding my cats.....they're so cute.  I got to get really creative with the pictures, and being creative is what I love to do best.  It was all very enjoyable, and the snacks were great too, lol.  But it all was over with too quick and it was time to go home.  My mom and dad had a bunch of stuff to do before they went out to eat for their anniversary.  My brother Sportsfan had to go to work that night, so us girls made our own pizza for supperPizza Slice .  We ended up eating the pizza kind of later than usual because I had forgot to pre-heat the oven while making the pizza.  So, I had to wait for the oven to be ready before putting the pizza in it.  But it was worth waiting for, the pizza was great!Way To Go

Along with the usual stuff of playing my computer games and helping my mom, I also spent the rest of the week finishing up reading a library book Reading 2, I only have two chapters to go, then it can be turned in before I go off to camp.  It's a Toilkin book called "Children of Hurin".  Yes, it's a depressing book and ends in a depressing way, but it is still a good book, very well written, and captivating.  Speaking of captivating, lol, I think I will be captivated by my Language Arts this Fall.....can't wait to get started on "Literary Lessons on Lord of the Rings", looks awesome!

Got to get going now, it's time for lunch, lol, and I am off to watch some Liberty's Kids on TV too!  Everyone stay cool!

Countdown to camp

More smileys for free downloadI am here enjoying the rain, my morning glories love it too, lol!  It had been soooo hot and dry this week, so I am thankful for the rain.  My week was kind of slow, not much to do except read, play computer games, help my mom, and watch a movie here and there.  Yesterday my dad and I went to my brother's basketball game at his day camp.  They had hot dogs, chips, and bottled water for everyone, so it was great.....the game was great too, lol!SmileyMy brother's team won the all-around competition, so he got a trophy to bring home.  After supper, I my sister Bookprincess and I FINALLY got to go to the store and get a couple of things for summer camp.  Yes, I know camp is a week away, lol, but I am soooo anxious to go.  This will be my first time going on an overnight camp trip, I will be going to a Christian camp so I am ecited about it.  My younger sister Puppyprincess has already been to the camp and she had lots of fun there, so I can hardly wait to go.  My brother, Sportsfan, and my sister, Bookprincess, will also be going with me too.  It will be teen week at the camp, so there will be other teens there, it should be great fun!Smiley
Before I sign off I thought I would show you a funny cat video of a kitten attacking some apples, lol, enjoy!

Patriotic Poke Cake

Here is a tasty 4th of July recipe I got from my mom....sounds really good!  It's called Patriotic Poke Cake

Ingredients:

1 18 oz. box white cake with pudding in the mix
1 3 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
1 c. hot water
½ c. cold water
1 8 oz. tub whipped topping
1 qt. fresh strawberries (cleaned, stemmed, and halved)
1 pt. fresh blueberries (rinsed and drained)

Prepare cake mix following the directions on the box. Then, bake in a greased, lightly floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Cool completely.  Poke the cooled cake with a fork at one-inch intervals, going only ¾ of the way down rather than completely to the bottom of the pan.  Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling hot water, stir in cold water, and carefully spoon gelatin in equal amounts over the holes on the surface of the cake. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.  One hour before serving, spread whipped topping over the cake and decorate with berries. Arrange blueberries in the upper left-hand corner as "stars" and rows of evenly spaced strawberries for "stripes." (Choose berries close in size and shape to make a more attractive design).
Serves 15.
Enjoy it!
