Mixed up feelings

Confused What a mixed up week I've had.  While I enjoyed watching the World Series this weekHappy, I was not happy about our dog Perky suddenly getting so sick like she did Sad.  She had eaten something that made her sick and we tried all we could to help her better with the medicine and other stuff the vet gave us.  But unfortunately she still died last night.....I was so heartbroken Weepy.  Yes, I do love my cats, but I am soft-hearted when it comes any animals, I can't stand to see them suffer or die.  So of course I was very upset when Perky died.  I know she is not suffering anymore, but still, we will miss her a lot.

Later last night was the final game of the World Series.....I am so glad my favorite team, the Cardinals, won the Series Clapping.....it really helped lift my spirits.

So, at the same time I am sad that our dog died, I am happy the Cardinals won and now I can ask for a World Series baseball hat for Christmas, lol.  As I said......this has been a week of mixed up feelings! Sigh, maybe next week will be calmer.

Being musical!

SmileyI'm sure I've mentioned before how much I love music, lol!  I like all kinds of different music....which is why I am still working on my music on Grooveshark so I can post it on here.  I like church hymns, southern Gospel, some classical music, and some movie theme music.  I thought I would list my favorites on here, but, lol, there's just so much that is my favorite songs.Smiley

I have been so much into my music lately that I have requested music-related presents for Christmas and my birthday in January.  I am hoping to get my own ipod so I can download my own music I like....although a CD player would be nice too.  I also am wanting some piano books that have movie themes in them, that way I can learn to play some movie themes on the piano.  My favorite is the music from the Disney movie "Cinderella", love it!  Smiley  Oh, speaking of piano, I have more Christmas song I am learning to play now....."Go Tell It on the Mountain", "O Come All Ye Faithful", and "We Three Kings".  Along with this, I am practicing a duet with my sister(age 11), the song "Joy to the World".  Sounds like a lot but I am up to the challenge, lol, I love music.

Along with listening to music, I love watching movies with music being sung in it.  One of my favorites is "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"(1971).  In fact, today is the 40th anniversary of this movie Smiley, can you believe it was that long ago?!  What a great movie!  So, in honor of this movie, I leave you with a video clip of one of my favorite tunes in the movie:

It's about time.....

Hello everyone, it's about time I posted something on here, right?  Lol, but seeing that writing does not come easy to me, I don't always have a lot to say.  At the same time, I do need to keep you posted on things around here.  Stuff has been about the same.....schoolwork and piano, piano and schoolwork....on and on, lol.  Free Smiley Piano lessons have been going pretty well, I have a couple of new pieces to be working on.  I have a church hymn, a Christmas song, and also a Christmas duet to practice with my little sister Puppyprincess.  Having done a duet before at our piano recital, I know that this is going to take some work, lol.  It's not easy getting the timing down at the same time like that.  But, we have awhile until we need to have it mastered, so I guess we should have it all together by then, I hope, lol !  Schoolwork continues go about the same.  I have finished another booklet in my "Keys to Algebra", so now it's on to "Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions".  Again, I can't say how rational I'll be when I am finally done with Algebra, lol, I am sooooo ready to be done with it Smiley.  Speaking of being rational, lol, I find that listening to music is my favorite way to stay sane.  Once in awhile I end up with a favorite tune stuck in my head......no, it's not "Do the Monkey" again, lol.  This time it's "Meant To Be" by Steven Curtis Chapman.  It's a beautiful song!  I love the lyrics as they have such a great meaning to me about how special we all are to God and how he has a plan for our lives.  Enjoy, and feel free to sing along!

"Meant To Be"

Long Before You Drew Your First Breath

A Dream Was Coming True
God Wanted to Give A Gift To The World
So He Wrapped It Up In You

Every Step That You've Taken
Every Move That You Make
Is Part Of His Plan

You Were Meant To Be Touching
The Lives That You Touch
And Meant To Be Here
Making This World So Much More
Than It Would Be Without You In It

You Were Meant To Be Bringing
The Gifts That You Bring
And Singing The Songs
You've Been Given To Sing

You Are Perfectly, Wonderfully,
Beautifully Meant To Be
You Were Meant To Be

Long Before You Took Your First Fall
You stumbled to the ground
God started telling the story of you to the angels all around
Every failure and victory
Everything inbetween
Its all in his hand

You Were Meant To Be Touching
The Lives That You Touch
And Meant To Be Here
Making This World So Much More
Than It Would Be Without You In It

You Were Meant To Be Bringing
The Gifts That You Bring
And Singing The Songs
You've Been Given To Sing
You Are Perfectly, Wonderfully,
Beautifully Meant To Be
You Were Meant To Be (yeah)
Meant To Be
You are
You are
You are meant to be
You are
You are
You are meant to be

For every breath that your taking
And every move that you make
It's a meaningful life you've been given
Live it well

You Were Meant To Be Touching
The Lives That You Touch
And Meant To Be Here
Making This World So Much More
Than It Would Be Without You In It

You Were Meant To Be Bringing
The Gifts That You Bring
And Singing The Songs
You've Been Given To Sing

You Are Perfectly, Wonderfully,
Beautifully Meant To Be (yeah)
You Were Meant To Be (yeah)
You Were Meant To Be (yeah)
You Were Meant To Be
To Be
You Were Meant To Be
