I am here keeping warm with a hot cup of cocoa, yummy! The weather here has turned really, really cold now, it is getting close to winter time. And with it getting closer to winter time that means Christmas break from school....yay!
Yes, I know we just got off of Thanksgiving break, but a couple of weeks from now my brain will need another rest, lol. Algebra is going fairly smooth and I should be done with it by then. Geometry will be next, my mom says that should be easier, I am so glad for that. Biology is at a yucky part right now....earthworms, tapeworms, etc....yuck
. Of course, my literature/composition continues to be fun. Along with reading "The Two Towers", I will be getting to read "Macbeth" next week. I have read Shakspeare before so I know I will enjoy it. Yes, I know, I'm a weird girl who enjoys reading Shakespeare
, I even bought a book of Shakespeare at the homeschool conference earlier this year. I got hooked on it when I was doing "Learning Language Arts Thru Literature" in 7th grade in the Green book. Ever since then I have loved reading it
.I already have some of my Christmas wish list already made. I am wanting a piano book that has movie music in it from all three "Lord of the Rings" movies, only it's the easy version for now. I am also wanting a St. Louis Cardinals World Series hat and shirt....they won the World Series this year, woo hoo!
I am wanting a Webkinz cat for Christmas too. Yes, I know, Webkinz is mostly for younger kids, but I love cats, both real the soft toy kind too. Then there is the candy and sugarless gum I would like to have in my stocking, although my mom has a way of surprising me with other stuff she knows I like.

Well, I best get busy and get some Christmas music on here
, lol, my blog is just too quiet!

, I was not happy about that. On Thursday, I had to go to the orthodontist to get some more work done on the braces on my teeth. Then, the orthodontist hooked two different rubberbands on my braces too. The rubberbands hook from the brace on my top teeth to the brace on the bottom teeth (this is on my front teeth). So, these rubberbands pretty much keep my mouth almost completely closed. This does not make it easy for me to talk or even sing in church. I have to keep the rubber bands on all the time, except for when I eat, then I have to take them out to eat. After I am done eating, I have to hook the rubberbands back onto my braces. My mom got me some tweezers to help with hooking them on. But, sometimes the rubberband will slip off the tweezers and end up popping me in the mouth....ouch!
Not a fun experience, but I am getting better at it. Of course, with my teeth getting adjusted to where they should be, it is causing some pain for me. It helped that I remembered to take some Motrin before going to the orthodontist. After I was done at the orthodontist my mom stopped at Burger King and treated me to lunch........what a nice mom I have
. I had a chicken sandwich, some fries, and a drink. Since my teeth were aching, I had to tear off pieces of the chicken sandwich in order to eat it. I ate what I could and ended up taking my fries and drink with me....it was great! So inspite of the braces, the stop at Burger King made it worthwhile, lol!
Aaaachooo! Ugh, my turn to be sick this time and I am feeling yucky
