. Well, today was the last day of homeschooling until this August, so now I can say the battle has ended. And, in the words of Gandalf, "Now come the days of the king! May they be blessed." I had a fantastic time getting to go thru "Literary Lessons from Lord of the Rings", I was definitely blessed by it. So, I end this school year with my favorite part from near the ending of "Return of the King"....Aragorn's coronation. Underneath this, you will find the Elfish words, the pronounciation, and the English translation of the song he sings after being crowned.

Happy Summer!

Yawn! Things have been kind of ho-hum around here lately with the usual schoolwork, music practice, and some yard work. My recital piece is coming along fine and my flowers are starting to bloom. I am doing pretty well with schoolwork and am in the homestretch...yay!

. I am still reading the Tolkien book I found at the library, "The Book of Lost Tales 1". This book tells the beginning history of Middle-earth and it is edited by Tolkien's son Christopher Tolkien. So far so good, I am enjoying it. And even when I finish this book, there is still so many more books by Tolkien....and you know I will read them, lol. My biggest wish is to find the "Lord of the Ring" books on CD, that would be great. I am hoping maybe I will find them at the book fair when we go to the homeschool conference in May. The people with Home Scholar will be there, they are the ones where I got "Literary Lessons" from, along with the book "Silmarillion", the book on the elfish language, and artwork from LOTR books. They will also be doing a workshop on fantasy literature, I am excitedly looking forward to that
. I will also be getting to volunteer to help out at the Children's Conference they are having there. It's something new they're having for the first time this year, it sounds like it will be fun! In the meantime, I will continue on in my school work, endeaver to perservere in my quest to fnish tenth grade, lol!
I am so loving this weather, it has been fabulous! I am also loving being on Spring Break from homeschooling, lol, my brain needed the rest. So far, I've mostly spent my time playing on the computer, listening to music, practicing my recital piece, and helping my mom with some decluttering. I also went to the orthodontist for my usual appointment, hoping that the orthodontist would say that it was time for my braces to come off. But alas, it was not meant to be
at least not for maybe one more month. I was so disappointed, I miss popcorn, caramel, and some favorite candy of mine that I haven't been able to eat because of my braces. So I wait....until next time. In the meantime, we will be going to the library to load up on books, I plan on finding some books by Toilken. What better way to spend the rest of my Spring Break!
